The U.S. Geological Survey has released a new tool for identifying a specific elevation at a specific location.

In the chart above, the green line indicates an elevation that the company says is high enough for a particular elevation to be within its guidelines.

To make it easier to locate places within the elevation, the company has released its Elevation Finder app for iPhone and Android.

The app allows users to enter the height and latitude of their coordinates into the Google map, and the company then will suggest other possible locations in the map based on elevation.

The elevation will be listed on the map alongside other elevation information.

For example, if the green dot is at a latitude of 35.2, you can use the Elevation Finder to identify a location at latitude 35.5.

The Elevation Finding tool is available for iPhone, iPad and Android for $1.99 per month.
